Anastasia Pagonas is a photographer, writer and teacher living in the American Southwest. She is the founder of MEMORY CULT, an online community for insurgent family photography. Her writing explores artistic autonomy, the subject/photographer relationship and the effect of the attention economy on creative vision. For 16 years she has photographed families from the child’s point of view, producing art books and large format prints for her clients and audience, drawing inspiration from the physical photograph as art object and personal document.
